While lions and lambs are animals, in this case they are referring to the weather. Did you know that checking the weather helps your child develop some background knowledge for natural science? The words sky, clouds, hot, warm, cool, cold and windy need lots of meaningful experiences so they are more than just words. Is today rainy, cloudy, or sunny where you live? Older kids might be ready for the vocabulary of clear and overcast. Does it feel cold like winter, warm like spring, or for some fortunate places, hot like summer?
