Knock, knock. Who’s there?
Rita. Rita who?
Rita lotta books.
Reading a lot of books, means either having a lot of books or finding them. One way to add to the books that your family has is to trade with someone else. To have a book swap, invite some friends and neighbors to look through shelves for books that their children may no longer need. By exchanging books, you have some different ones to enjoy. Not quite new books, but a new selection.
Bring some books for adults, too. While this month’s goal is reading and sharing books and stories with children to help them with kindergarten readiness, having a few books for the grown-ups adds another dimension. Kids see that reading is important for us, too. A fun project for the weekend. Right, Rita?
